Miles presented to the NWVC for persistent vomiting following his meals. Miles has a history of eating things he shouldn’t, having eaten a rubbery material less than a year ago, requiring surgical removal!
With history repeating itself, Miles had recently chewed off a rubbery chunk of his owner’s shoes! Miles was admitted to hospital for radiographs which revealed a suspicious area in his intestines. With minimal improvement in the following hours, Miles was scheduled for another exploratory laparotomy the very next morning. It was quickly discovered that the missing piece of shoe was lodged in his intestines. The foreign body was successfully removed, and we’re pleased to report that Miles has made a full recovery.
